Dr. Galaal is originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology.

Dr. Galaal received her Optometric training at the New England College of Optometry, where she completed multiple clinical rotations at community health centers in the Boston area, as well as interning at the VA Medical Center in NH. Dr. Galaal also spent time working with traumatic brain injury patients at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, and in the specialty contact lens department at the New England College of Optometry Center for Eyecare. 

During her time in optometry school, she volunteered with VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) providing free eye care and vision services in the community. Dr. Galaal has a passion for providing quality care to patients, and truly enjoys that her career allows her to meet new people everyday while helping them achieve their best visual potential.
